Differentiation and safety and well-being

In groups where learners' medical conditions, health issues and disabilities are likely to impact on learning, try to tailor activities so that everyone can safely:

  • participate fully; and
  • experience a degree of challenge.

This is likely to involve differentiation by variety and by activity so that:

  • learners participate in activities that suit their standard of fitness and prior learning; and
  • learners with medical conditions, health issues or disabilities get appropriate guidance or support.
