Issues - confidentiality
The Data Protection Act 1988 requires you to store personal information so that confidentiality is not breached. Discuss arrangements for this with your manager.
Many learners would be concerned if they thought that the information they have divulged to you in good faith could be accessed easily by other people. Discuss with your manager the arrangements for storing the readiness-to-exercise screening forms and your register with its class profile can be made entirely secure. Reassure learners that the information that they have provided will not be handled carelessly, and make sure that this commitment is honoured.
"We return completed screening questionnaires to learners once they have completed a course. That way they can be sure their personal information won't be left lying around."
