Restaurant
This activity is very versatile and is ideal to use after learners have practised the vocabulary and structures associated with ordering food. Prompted by visual stimuli, learners are asked to make a complaint, order something that is missing or give praise.
The activity can be used at a variety of levels. Learners can be involved in the choice of language to use.
Bear in mind that some of your learners may need to develop their language, literacy and numeracy skills. If you are new to Skills for Life, this site is a useful general starting point for you to explore. The section on teaching and learning gives a good overview of the Skills for Life agenda. If you are already involved in Skills for Life, you may find it useful to receive the regular updates from the site.
