Webquests
Webquests are structured activities that guide learners to explore specific websites for information. The emphasis is more on using and evaluating information than on actually searching for it. Webquests are an excellent e-learning resource for achieving differentiation.
They are a good way to:
- enable learners to explore topics that are relevant to them, at levels that they can manage
- provide challenge for learners by engaging them in active learning; and
- make effective use of e-learning.
The downloadable resources on this screen page were designed to help ICT tutors develop webquests for their learners. They can be adapted and used by non-ICT tutors.
In using this resource, tutors should be sensitive to the possible literacy, language and numeracy (LLN) needs of their learners, and keep in mind the ICT Skills for Life standards at
